These skins have been created using the doctrine of luftwaffe aircraft identification of the period and partly theoritical in creation. Unknown aircraft were nominally allocated names.
JG 27 saw considerable action during the Battle of France. The names used by 2./JG27 were German Colonies prior to WWI. Inspired by the Reichskolonialbund
(Reich Colonial League) whose purpose was to reclaim the overseas colonies that Germany had lost as a result of the Treaty of Versailles at the end of World War I. The emblem used by 2./JG27 was The emblem of the Reichskolonialbund, based on the flag of the German East Africa Company.
